The Untied Kingdom began to reform its competition regime since 1997, and the new regime has become one of the most advanced competition regimes. Mainly based on the Competition Act 1998, the Enterprise Act 2002 and relative Guidelines, and by reference to a number of works, this thesis tries to make a systematic discussion on the enforcement system of UK competition law, and aims to benefit the establishment of that of China. Except for the exordium, this thesis consists of six sections, and has sixty thousand words approximately.The exordium explains the significance of this thesis in theory and practice, and clarifies the outline of this thesis.The first section deals with the development, the frame, the regulatory organs, and the reform of UK competition law. It is an important premise for the illumination and comprehension of following sections.Sections 2-4 are about the substantial parts of enforcement system of UK competition law. Section 2 introduces the enforcement procedure of competition law. The following two sections study the investigation powers of regulatory organs and penalties of competition law respectively.The fifth section discusses the Modernizaton of UK competition law.The final section makes some suggestions about the establishment of the enforcement system of competition law in China, based on a comparative research (UK, EC and USA), and the existing conditions of China.
