As the most basic political power, the township government is the regime which has the most direct and close contact with the villagers' autonomous organization. The villagers' autonomous organization is the mass organizations of self-government, fanners' autonomous self-management, self-education and self-service. According to The People's Republic of China Organic Law on Village Committees, township government and the villagers autonomous organization is guided by the guidance relationship. But in the actual operation of villagers' autonomy, township and the villagers' autonomous organization in a lot of contradictions and conflicts hinder advancement and improvement of the rule of villagers' autonomy in the influence of various factors and obstacles. Therefore, the study of the relationship between the township government and the villagers' autonomous organization has a major significance to the development of the system of grassroots democracy in China.In this paper, the author mainly through the following three parts to explore the analysis of the relationship between the township and villagers' autonomous organization.In the first part, the author analyzes the interaction between the township and the villagers' autonomous organizations in the ideal state. In this part, the author envisages an ideal state: In the ideal state, relations between township regime and the villagers' autonomous organization is a benign interaction. But in fact, the relationship between township regime and the villagers' autonomous organization is not so ideal.In the second part, the author analyzes the current situation of relations between township regime and the villagers' autonomous organization. The current situation mainly consists of five types: control of administration; normal guidance; lack guidance; over villagers' autonomy and administrational subsidiary. There are seven causes of the current situation. 1.Influence of pressure administration system. 2. Influence of state's policies in countryside. 3. Lack of laws of villagers' autonomy. 4. Influence of traditional relationship between township regime and the villagers' autonomous organization. 5. The expanding character of power. 6. against double roles of the villagers' autonomous organization. 7. Influence of the quality of cadres in rural area.
