After the end of the Cold War, the accelerated development of the globalization and information technology is shaping a world that we poorly understand. On the international arena, the INGOs, which rise quietly and get deeply into each field of the international community, have become an increasingly important and indispensable role in the global governance. So the subject of the thesis is that the INGOs have a significant impact on the traditional international system.In order to make this subject clear, the thesis will be divided into four parts as follows: In the first part, the author will introduce the subject of this study and its value in theory and in practice, present the current academic situation of the subject, discuss the thought of the study, and finally lay out the whole writing arrangementIn the second part, it mainly includes the definition and characteristics of the INGOs.The author will analyse the definition, characteristics, generation, and the causes of existenceand development of the INGOs. Nowadays, the INGOs are active in the internationalcommunity in all fields with their own force: In the field of economic and social development,they actively participate in international development assistance projects and resist theunequal international political and economic systems; In some new international politealfields, such as environment, women, human rights, ethnic and religion, they advocate a newglobal concept, promote the sign of international conventions and supervise the conduct of thenation-state; In the field of international peace and security, they actively participate in peaceinitiative, international relief, conflict prevention and post-war reconstruction. Theirdevelopment is largely attributable to the globalization, for the globalization provides materialbasis and ideological basis for the INGOs. Nowadays, the INGOs have become increasinglystrong and their broad participation in all areas of the international community has aconsiderable impact on the traditional international system.In the third part, compared with the traditional international system, the author will analyse the emerging changes in the international system in the influence of the INGOs.
