BONDS is popularly discussed in insurance literatures, but there are many different propositions about whether BONDS can become insurance. And it is more controversial that what are the characters of BONDS, how can we distinguish the duty of BONDS with common property insurance, and what kind of law can be applied.The insurance which continuously expands in credit-assurance inevitably encounters the BONDS which have the same function and long history of GUARANTEE. What is the character of BONDS? What are the affiliations and differences between BONDS and GUARANTEE? What are the different duties between BONDS and common property insurance according to the current law system? How is the status of BONDS in China? What kind of problems we still face? This paper is trying to answer these questions.
