This article focuses on the weak link of the basic theory of economic law—liabilities of economic law, with a purpose to develop and deepen this theory. This article starts with the analysis of legal liability in which the definition, classification, purpose and function of liability have been illustrated. Based on this, the liabilities of economic law are illustrated profoundly. Comprehensive study thereof is carried out on the aspects of the title, implication, features, liability attribution principles and essential components of the liabilities of economic law. Thereafter the independence of the liabilities of economic law is discussed. In this part, the different theories concerned are presented and analyzed. Besides, the necessity and significance of the independence of the liabilities of economic law are clarified as well. The aim thereof is to establish an advantageous space for the building and developing of the liability system of economic law. Finally, this article discusses the implementation mechanisms of the liabilities of economic law considering the practice and reality—the administrative mechanism and litigation mechanism. The present status and the rebuilding of these two mechanisms have been demonstrated in this part.
