Investigation logic is one of the most important issues in the research field of investigation theory and logic theory. As an important part of Investigation logic, investigation hypothesis also becomes the focus of investigation theory and logic theory. In this article, the author gives a relatively comprehensive study of investigation hypothesis.This dissertation is based on two basic positions. The first one: Investigation hypothesis must be comprehended by narrow sense and broad sense. The second one: The theory of possible world is the theories foundation of investigation hypothesis.Besides introduction, this dissertation consists of three parts.The introduction part gives a brief review of the research and importance of investigation hypothesis, and illustrates the main structure of the article.In the first part of the text, the author discusses some basic problems about investigation hypothesis, including the definition and characteristics and circulate mode of investigation hypothesis.In the second part, the author discusses something about the theory of possible world of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Including the principle of self-contradict and sufficient reason. And the contents, the purpose, the meaning of theory of possible world of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.The third part is the focus of the text. The author tries to discuss the relations between investigation hypothesis and theory of possible world. He puts forward a newly Standpoint: the theory of possible world is the theories foundation of investigation hypothesis. The way of thinking is: using the theory of possible world to analysis the different parts of investigation hypothesis. And discuses the possibility and inevitability of investigation hypothesis.
