The former form of relationship between US and Russia---that between US and Soviet Union is the foundation of the world pattern during the cold war .Compared with Soviet Union, the strength of Russia has decreased rapidly after the ending of cold war. Companying this sharp decrease, the relationship of US and Russia turned from largely symmetrical to anisomerous state. However, we also must notice that the comparative decline of relationship between the US and Russia in the world doesn't deny its important impact in the global politics. Not only the corporation and clash in counter terrorism and nuclear disarmament between these two nations, but also the development of their relationship has direct impact to the situation of east Europe, Balkan, middle Asia and other big nations'relationship, including the relationship between US and Europe, US and China.This context empirically and historically analyzes the relation between U.S.-Russian since the Bush Administration to grasp the characters and trend of U.S.-Russian relations since Bush Administration ,and to make expectation for the relation between the United States and Russia.This context will analyze the relationship of US and Russia during the period from Bush came into power to now:The first part analyses the Bush's government's diplomatic concept and the successive tradition, in order to observe Bush's great nation stratagem and the status of Russia in it.
