The paper studied the conception of contract and the history of good faith doctrine , concluding that good faith and contract have nature relationship. Good faith is the nature need of market economy,so good faith is analyzed based on economy, conluding that the market participate follow the good faith based on the cost and profit and also concluding that good faith is capital. Good faith is a moral rule, so we can study it based on morality, concluding that our traditional good faith is different from the one foreign, our good faith is not economic good faith and we have to culture our good faith. Lastly, the paper studied the function of good faith and its produce of our contract law which passed in may 15 1999.The paper try to study the reason of the scarcity of good faith of our market economy and advice the participate to follow the good faith and advice the judicature departments has another attitude.
