Color revolution is a hot issue of international relations. In the wake of the "color revolutions" in Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan, the tide of color revolutions has swept across all central Asia. The color revolutions epitome the export of revolutions of the Western countries led by the United States through non-military means to CIS and central Asian countries. The color revolutions happen under the background of "democratic transformation" in the globe brought about by the United States. If we say that the Western countries achieve "democratic transformation" through "violent attack and oppression", we can say that they achieve so through "peaceful infiltration". In the process of color revolutions in central Asia, the import of Western ideologies has played a crucial rule. After the Cold War, ideology has been used again as a weapon in the arena of modern international relations to transform post-socialist countries.In this thesis, the author tries to further analyze the cause, process and effect of color revolutions from the perspective of ideology. Beginning with the origin of the ideology infiltration of the West, the thesis discusses its content and its difference from the former socialist ideology of respective countries, sums up and generalizes several exports of Western ideology as well as their effects and ends with further analysis of the role the Western ideology plays in these color revolutions, the...
