The relationship between officials and merchants has always overcome the test of time and has had a great effect in the enfoldment of history. Whether there is harmony between officials and merchants or not, it will always have the function of advancing or counteracting the course of history. The text lays emphasis on the research on the current situation of the relationship between officials and merchants in China. It starts by summarizing the two main ideas of today's relationship between officials and merchants in China and the combination of officials and merchants and interchange between officials and merchants, moreover analyzing its dangers. The essay is mostly concerned with the analysis of the effect of the China's anti-corruption model, anti-corruption strategy and anti-corruption institutions, maintaining that the anti-corruption struggle in the China of today is still stuck in the stage of power anti-corruption - unable to reach a high level of institutional anti-corruption and is at the same time stuck in the midst of anti-corruption struggle in which an over concern is given to the construction of internal institutions and moreover has basically neglected the growth of external institutions. Furthermore, the current anti-corruption external institutions are relatively lacking in authority, punishment or effectiveness.
