The criminal system of cross-examination is one important constitute of judicatory system in our country, and the construction of the cross-examination is just the best embodiment that court's trial "accused of the debating type". The court's trial mode is this kind of composite embodiment during the course of trying of procedure mode in our country. After the criminal procedure law was revised in 1996,the new law carried on the transformation to the functions and powers of the old law, have formed the "composite procedure emode".The thesis includes introduction, context and epilogue. The introduction gives the motive of the author and the importance of the study. The context is composed of seven parts. In order to consummate the criminal system of the cross-examination, the first part mainly explains its implication and characteristics. The cross-examination is that the main body questions or inquires about all proof displayed on court. At the second part the thesis deeply explains the cross-examination has two value orientation. From the third part to the fifth part the thesis mainly states the legal relations, the mode, the principle and the formula of the cross-examination. The last two parts are the focal point of the thesis. Aiming at those questions existing in legislation of criminal procedural and judicatory practice, this part deals with the following propose from two big aspects. To the system itself, we should consummate the implication, the scope of the main body and the object of the cross-examination , and we should establish the main principle and formula, the manner and the proceeding of the criminal cross-examination. To the supporting system, we should set up or perfect a set of systems, such as evidence being exchanged, attorney enjoying investigate rights, investigator appearing in court to bear witness and evidence supplier appearing incourt to attest.
