The sense of urgency, as an important way of the progress of human civilization, is a "defending" consciousness created from human being's "challenge" against severe environment, which has also played an important role in the process of Chinese traditional culture development. The sense of urgency has formed its rich content in the evolution of thousands years' Chinese culture. Since reform and opening, The Communist Party, when dealing with the unprecedented situations, not only take the risks of economic and political reform, but also must face the pressure of domestic and oversea public opinion, which form the deep complex of the sense of urgency. It's just on the base of the sense of urgency that the Chinese communist Party can maintain a positive progressive attitude and enthusiastic mental state, and continuously emancipate the mind and innovate thinking, which makes the reform overcome unceasing difficulties. At present, the Communist Party guides economic and social reform with the ideas of "scientific outlook on development" and "harmonious society", resolves the international conflicts with the idea of "harmonious world", and realizes the theoretical innovation with "Marxist theoretical research and construction projects". Besides, a series of new steps has been carried through to improve the ruling ability. All these efforts of the Chinese Communist Party turn the sense of urgency into the power to go ahead, which displays the bright prospects of Chinese characteristic socialism.
