This paper focuses on the research of material evidence in drug related crime.In today's world, drugs and drug related crime on the survival and development of mankind pose a major threat. "The drug problem has become a global problem, criminal activities like drug worldwide plague, wanton global village. Drug related crime from the cultivation, processing, trafficking to consumption has been formed 'international' system, and almost no country or region was immune. "This is Perez De Cuellar's words who is the United Nations Secretary General in the April 9, 1990 World Ministerial Conference on drug. Since the last 20 years, the drug as an endless flood still rampant around the world. Following the original characteristics, the drug related crime show a new trend of development. May 26, 2005, the State Council Information Office held a press conference, and national executive deputy director of Drug Prohibition Council Yang Feng Rui said: "China's 791,000 drug addicts, the existing drug addicts in heroin abuse 679,000, or 85.8 %. " Traditional drug's problem such as opium, heroin and other hazards have not been resolved completely , the new dangers of drugs have broken rapidly.Drug related crimes as a special type of crime, have their own characteristics and laws: hiding methods of crime, covering a wide range, and mobility. As the majority of countries on drug crimes take generally rigid and harsh provisions, collecting sufficient evidence, and proving that it can really play a role, whether the crime was set up is particularly important. And in the massive system of evidence, material evidences with its unique advantages exhibits occupy a important place, especially in drug related crimes, the majority of cases exist the core evidence—drugs. Based on the material evidence, this paper will discuss some problems in drug related crime from the point of view of investigation and proceeding.The full text is divided into four parts IThe first part outlines the drug related crime. First it introduce academic prevailing concept of drug crimes, and then concludes the characteristics and concepts of drug related crime in China, at last it shows a new concept: the drug related crime means acts that violate anti-drug legislation and undermine anti-drug controlling activities and should be punished by the penalty. Second, it analyses the main characteristics of drug related crimes. Drug related crime's own characteristics has led to some inherent characteristics of evidence. This section paves the way for the late statement. The third is the new trend of drug's development . New drug related crime is upward trend, and the traditional drug criminal activity is reducing, and criminal activity is modernizing.The second part is the material evidence in drug related crime. It specifies the basic theory of material evidence's concept, as well as its characteristic that distinguishes it from other evidences. And it deeply analyses o the characteristics of material evidence in drug related crime.The third part is the collection of material evidence in drug related crime. First it shows the main problems, then analyses the reasons of the problems, and summarizes the methods that how to collect and preserve evidences. The 4and5 sections of the third part describe the collection of physical evidence in precursor chemicals to drug related crime and the money laundering crime. Because these two kinds of crimes' characteristics are special.Part IV is the testimony and certification of evidence in drug related crime. First it describes the concept of testimony and certification, followed by China's criminal evidence rules of present, then discuss the relevant rules of evidence in China.
