The Arctic is a deserted world with ice and snow. But along with global warming,Snow and ice in the Arctic accelerate to melt, then in the Arctic Ocean the importance of rich natural resources and the strategic position are shown especially out. Therefore, various countries around the Arctic Ocean in terms of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea have been enclosing the seabed wantonly in the North Polar Region, hereby initiating sovereignty disputes in this region. This thesis centers on the topic of sovereign right disputes in the Arctic, elaborating in detail about how to define sovereignty disputes in the Arctic Region, what is the content of the disputes, how to solve these disputes and what should be the standpoint of Chinese government's policy. As stated in the essay, sovereign right disputes in the Arctic in the context of news reports,is a movement of enclosure under the rules and regulations of "the United Nations Law of the sea".The focus of the disputes is the overlapping sovereign right scope on the outer continental shelf, and validity is the key to solving these problems. In this thesis I try to enumerate six kinds of solution patterns, and carry on the comparative analysis, and hold the diversities of possible solutions. At last,I analyse China's concern in North Polar Region, and point out that the benefit, morality and justice are the starting point in formulating the North Pole policy of Chinese government, and propose the China's North Polar policy--constructing a universally shared Arctic Ocean of peace, the neutrality, purity.
