In the international political arena, the major powers in every historical period have always been the leaders in the international situation and the operators of international order.Therefore, the study of relations among major powers in international relations has become the most important field of research. Neighbours in Asia, China and India are emerging regional great power and potential of world's major power.The 21st century, as the rapid rise of the "East Asian dragon" China and the "elephant in South Asia" India, the quality of the relationship between the two countries, not only directly affects the peace and stability in Asia but also to world peace, stability and development. In this paper, author used the geopolitical theory and systematically discussed the development and evolution of Indian geopolitical strategy since independence, and the different characteristics which Indian geopolitical strategy shown, before and after the Cold War, were analysed emphatically, as well as the reasons why this geopolitical strategy were changed after the Cold War, and then, that how this change influenced Sino-Indian relations were expounded. Finally, author analysed the trend of the future of Sino-Indian relations and China's response to this trend.
