From 50's to 60's in last century, the Baath Party began to rule in Syria and Iraq, and it has ruled Syria until now, and the Baath Government in Iraq was overthrown by American-British Troops in the Iraq war in 2003. Syria and Iraq are big powers which have large influence in the Middle East, whose foreign policy are very important to the peace and stability of the area.First this essay introduces the historical background of the Baath Party in Syria and Iraq, and studies the foreign policies of Syria and Iraq under the rule of the Baath Party in different periods. This essay also studies the influence of different factors on the foreign policies of Syria and Iraq: Arab Socialism, leaders, religions and strategies.
