Chantal Mouffe is one of the famous contemporary political philosophers; the issue of democracy she explained has a great impact in the field of contemporary political thought. The issue of democracy is the problem that has always been concerned and controversy. This article begins with the theoretical background which Mouffe argued with Hayek, Rawls, Nozick, Habermas and Schmitt, to take a firm hold of the idea of Mouffe's democratic theory sources, combing her idea and revering the philosophical basic and reality orientation of her radical pluralist democracy idea,revealing the lack and unique contribution of her radical democratic theory in contemporary political philosophy , understanding the development of contemporary democratic theory deeply. Starting from the deconstruction, in the basis of critique Liberalism political incompetence, Mouffe stressed that the conflict and confrontation in the modern social democracy. But, she stressed the importance of the diversity of modern society and the political status of the ontological excessively, failing to recognize that difference is different from the confrontational, the reality of political struggle can not lose the social dimension of the ideal. It should be noted that in addition to the meaning of systems and procedures, the fundamental meaning and purpose of democracy lie in the justice relationship between the people. From the philosophy that democracy does not mean to go on unlimited political confrontation, but to Other who the person in his particularity.
