This thesis focuses on the Scope of the Law System of Compensation for Damage to Products Liability, which is a basic issue in the Products Liability. With the accelerating process of globalization and the steady advance of science and technology, various kinds of products are produced and meanwhile here comes the disputes of products liability, which is on the rising. Due to the different legal tradition and legal culture, there is a big difference of the Scope of the Law System of Compensation for Damage to Products Liability between different countries. As for China, both the legal theory and the legal practice still have a long way to go comparing with western countries. Therefore the researches about the field are of great importance to the legislation of Products Liability of China.The diversity of the Scope of the Law System of Compensation for Damage to Products Liability typically stands for the difference of the Law System of Compensation for Damage to Products Liability. And on the basis of it, some legislative suggestions would be given to the legislation of Products Liability Law of China.The structure of this thesis, apart from the preface and the ending, is as follows:The first chapter is an important introduction, which mainly focuses on the comparative study on the conception of Products, the nature of products liability and some important Convention such as Convention on Conflict of Laws Rules for Product Liability, Convention on Products Liability in Regard to Personal Injury and Death, E.E.C Directive on Product Liability.The second part is the theories and legislation of the scope of products liability, which mainly focuses on the values in the law system of the Scope of Damage to Products liability and the introductions to this field of western countries and some relevant conventions. After reading this part, general picture will be given in order to prepare for further discussion.The last chapter is the regulations of the Scope of the Law System of Compensation for Damage to Products Liability of China and the legislative suggestions, which mainly focuses on the rules of law of this field of China, the analysis of existing problems and the relevant legislative suggestions. They are: the regulations of this field of China, comments on the development of uniform substantial law of products liability and related legal issues, the jurisdiction of cases of products liability, the legislative suggestions of China products liability law.
