| According to the "New Curriculum Criteria for Senior High History", students must have the ability to research historical problems and have a strong sense of innovation and the ability of practice. The development of students'comprehensive competence is emphasized in the new round of teaching reform and is the focus of high school history teachers. Since the rapid development of incorporation of modern information technology into history teaching and learning, multi-media technology has been playing an important role in improving high school history teaching. The aim of our research is to find out the advantages of using multi-media technology to form students'competence through theoretical research and teaching practice, so that we can further our study of incorporation of information technology into high school history teaching.To see the advantages of using multi-media technology to form students'history learning competence, we conducted different sorts of teaching practice. The thesis is just based on the analysis and conclusion to the outcome of the practice. The thesis consists of four parts. Chapter 1 is a brief introduction to the background, significance, methods of the research. Chapter 2 explains the concept of "multi-media technology" and "multi-media of teaching". It also includes the advantages of using multi-media in high school history teaching. Chapter 3 is the main part of the thesis, which focuses on the ways of using multi-media technology to improve students' competence, such as the forming of historical thinking, the sense of innovation, the development of autonomous learning and collaborative learning. Chapter 4 analyzes some problems in using multi-media technology in high school history teaching and proposes possible solutions to the problems. In the whole thesis, some cases used in teaching practice are presented as examples.The thesis deals with using modern information technology to improve high school students' history learning competence. The incorporation of modern information technology into high school history teaching is essential to the curriculum reform and is also vital for students' overall development. |
