As the main channel of ideological and political education for college students, effective implementation of ideological and political theory courses is directly related to improving the ideological and political quality and the comprehensive development of college students. However, over the years teaching effectiveness of this course is barely satisfied, therefore, the research on improving the effectiveness of teaching is widely present in academia. Guided by the Marxism, and learned from the "attitude change theory" in social psychology, issue about strengthen the courses teaching effect were discussed in this paper.Firstly, the relationship between attitudes and ideological and political theory courses was researched as a logical starting point of this article. Based on the research results of both at home and abroad social psychologists which focused on the attitude, this paper understood the content, formation and change of attitude. What’s more, it also analyzed the effects of college students’ attitudes to this course, that was, the positive attitude worked as the promoting role while the negative attitude as the interfere role.Secondly, from three aspects of the Marx’s view of the masses, value realization of the ideological and political theory course teachers and college students’ healthy development to stress that the teacher must need to change some college students negative attitude to this course; from three aspects of the rapid advance of modern information technology, the development of the ideological and political theory course teachers and the rich theoretical results could be used by teachers to guide the teaching practice to seeking the possibility of changing the negative attitude of some students to the course.Then, based on the actual teaching situation of this course and the questionnaire to college students’ attitude to this course, summarized the performance of the negative attitude of college students, embodied as negative cognitive, emotional and behavioral tendencies on teachers, classroom teaching, the negative perception of curriculum assessment, and analyzed of the causes of the formation of the negative attitude from the perspective of teachers teaching.Finally, this article explored the effective strategies that the teachers could adopt to change some college students’ negative attitude. Teachers should build its own personality, strengthening their own professional quality to win the students’respect and love; should seek breakthrough point in the teaching process, update teaching ideas, appropriate adjustment of teaching contents, reasonable choice teaching methods, inspiring students’ learning interest and the demand of this course; should integrated use a variety of methods for evaluating college students’ learning outcomes, letting them emphasis this course from the heart; should optimize the teaching and learning environment together, including excellent physical environment and healthy spiritual environment, so that students could feel the meaning of the ideological and political education imperceptibly.
