Based on the Second Language Acquisition Theory and the theory of EIC mode, using the Action Research Method, this paper aims to address the problem from my students that they have relatively poor results due to unreasonable learning methods and obtain the following research results:Firstly, the application of the EIC mode to English language teaching plays a relatively evident role in improving students’ English learning effect. The most prominent is that the philosophy that learning should be conducted in daily life context, highlighted by EIC mode, changes the students’ English learning time and space, namely, from learning meaningful language by passive mechanical drills to active language acquisition. Students’ motivation has been largely stimulated, and many students have learnt to comprehend the fun of language, meanwhile the way how students learn has undergone a qualitative change, therefore learning results effect is improved accordingly.Secondly, the Group Cooperative Learning advocated by EIC model also plays a role in improving students learning results effects. The Group Cooperative Learning can alleviate students’ pressure on learning English. Through it, students can learn effective ways of learning from each other, and they can not only develop a friendship with each other, but also improve the students’ learning effect.Finally, through the implementation of this action research program, students’ English learning effect has been greatly improved, which indicates that students are willing to change the current learning approach, and to seek more effective and enjoyable way to face those difficulties and problems through learning English. Therefore, teachers should take the initiative to find problems in teaching, and use positive thinking approach to problem solving in order to improve the effectiveness of teaching.
