As known, the demographics of China have changed quickly, boasted by the accelerated transformation of economy, cultural and social patterns. In this context, the topic divorce and remarriage, followed by new familiar arrangements have driven the attention from many scholars in social sciences. In the present work, these changes were studied in a new locus where these courtship relations are taking place:dating websites. The focus of this study is on the analysis of divorced and widowed people that seek for a new partner in the Jianyuan (世纪佳缘) dating website. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were applied to collect data in the website, with the aim to better understand who are the couples that remarriage and what are they looking for in their partners (specially in terms of social indicators, such as wage, scholarly and possession of goods). The present studied is divided in three main parts:a general look in the trends of divorce and remarriage in China; the analysis of all divorced and widow Jianyuan users compared to never married users; and the study of particular cases of remarried couples that found a partner through the website. Although the data is restricted, as it is limited to a sample of the cyberspace universe of users, it cast light in tendencies and continuities, fore and the most because it allies the analysis of two new trends:divorce/remarriage and online dating, both marks of a new era of mobile relations.
