A Study On The Educational Countermeasures Of The Socialist Core Value System In Private Colleges

Socialist Core Value System is a significant theoretical innovation of Communist Party of China, which reflects the nature of socialist ideology. The System includes four parts: guiding ideology of Marxism, Common Ideal Socialism with Chinese characteristics, National Spirit with the core of patriotism and Time Spirit with the core of reform and innovation, Socialist Concept of Honor and Disgrace. As one of the important positions of disseminating and educating Socialist Core Value System, colleges have the responsibility of enhancing penetrability and charisma of Socialist Core Value System among college students. The group of voluntary colleges is an important part of higher education in China. Developing and strengthening Socialist Core Value System education in voluntary colleges can enhance the diathesis of voluntary college students and promote the development of voluntary colleges in a healthy way. Taking voluntary colleges in Shandong province as the object of study, the thesis puts forward the counter measures of enhancing Socialist Core Value System education in voluntary colleges. The thesis consists of the following four parts:The first part introduces the connotation of Socialist Core Value System, the significances of enhancing Socialist Core Value System education among college students, and the ways how to develop Socialist Core Value System education in colleges. It indicates that colleges carry out Socialist Core Value System education through three ways: to let Ideological and Political Theory Course play the role of the main channel, to bring into play the education function of campus culture, and to enhance social practice education.The second part introduces the current situation of voluntary colleges in Shandong province from the aspects of college type, students and teachers structure, and analyzes the research result of Socialist Core Value System education in some of those colleges. The result shows that although students in voluntary colleges approve Marxism, admit superiority of Socialism, possess spirit of patriotism and innovation, accept Socialist Concept of Honor and Disgrace, they still have some problems. Some of them distrust classical theory and socialist system; some of them don’t have enough innovation power; some of them need further study of Socialist Concept of Honor and Disgrace.The third part introduces the current situation and achievements of Socialist Core Value System education in voluntary colleges in Shandong province. The questionnaire shows that there are some problems in Socialist Core Value System education in voluntary colleges, such as consciousness of study, weak teaching staff, weak executive force, unscientific teaching design and lacking of security mechanism. The causes of the problems are also analyzed from aspects of voluntary colleges themselves, teaching staff, students and exotic environment.The fourth part presents countermeasures of the problems. To enhance the Socialist Core Value System education in voluntary colleges, firstly the colleges should build the reasonable mechanism, attach importance to the education, enhance the building of the contingent of teachers for Ideological and Political Theory Course, and put the education in the whole process of student cultivating; secondly, the government and society should guide the voluntary colleges to enhance the Socialist Core Value System education.
