Research On Financial Management Of JTC Independent College

As an innovative school-running model generated from the reform and development processof national higher education， independent college contribute vitally to the popularization of thismodel. Because of the special nature of independent college, there is a huge difference betweenindependent colleges and public colleges. However, financial management in most of theindependent colleges are inherited from their host university， due to the natural connectionbetween the two parties. In this case， such methods cannot fit in the management target andmodel of independent college， which constrains its development sustainably and healthily.Therefore， in order to achieve actual independence and private operation， our nationalindependent college must consider the innovations of financial management which has specialmeaning and been of great importance in unit economic management.JTC College was established in May，2000and certified by the department of educationas an independent college which is permitted to conduct general undergraduate higher education.Comparing with other independent colleges， JTC has experienced a long period of developmentand accumulated abundant educational experience relatively. Also， existing drawbacks withinits financial management are more generalized， which are able to reflect most of the commonproblems of independent colleges’ financial management. This study defines independent collegefirstly， clarifies the concept and content of financial management in independent college， andthen states the theoretical basis of analyzing financial management， which are theory ofresource allocation，input-output theory and sustainable development theory. According to thesetheories， related analyses have been carried out upon the state-quo of JTC College， analysisand summarization the problems in management in JTC. Studying the origin of these problems，corresponding solutions and suggestions are promoted. This study aims to the financialmanagement problems of JTC Independent College and provide methods to solve these problemsin order to improve the financial management. This will develop the function of financialmanagement, and then promote JTC College developing healthy and sustainable.
