As the international community goes even further and the development of the teachers·specialization, the United States begins to reform the traditional teachers· education and tries tobreak the barrier between the school-university and then establish a school-university partnership.Professional Development School is the product of this effort. This form is not only got thesupport from the school-university, but also has changed the situation of teacher training in theUnited States, and promotes the development of American teacher education. The establishmentof this partnership makes the theory of Teacher Professional Development and practice combinedtogether, realizes university and school developing at the same time. Our teachers’ education is inconstant change at present, practice orientationμ stressed by The Teacher Education CurriculumStandard needs school-university strengthen the partnership. But the school-university ought toestablish what kind of partnership? How should establish this partnership? It has not formedmature experience in this field, in a manner of speaking; it is still at the initial stage ofexploration. According to analyzing the modal of partnership between school-university in theUnited States, this article summarizes the types of modal of partnership betweenschool-university, provides inspiration to our school-university, we can draw lessons andenlightenment from the experiences of foreign developed countries, effectively promote thedevelopment of school-university education in our country.This thesis is divided into five parts:Introduction: discuss the reasons of selected topic, the research significance of this study,concept definition, literature review, research methods, etc.The first part: mainly describe the rise and development of Professional DevelopmentSchools in the United States. The shortcomings of traditional teacher education and teacherprofessional achievement are its backgrounds and Professional Development Schoolsexperienced three stages: experimental school, mentoring school and professional developmentschool.The second part: Takes Phil del middle school and the University of Louisville, Wellsschool districts and the University of Southern Maine, University of Texas at Austin and Austin independent school district as examples, introducing the background, cooperation processes andresults, etc. summarizes the types of school-university partnerships. On the basis of summarizesthe experiences of successful cooperation and points out some several problems,it is worth to usto reference and consult.The third part: on the basis of previous part of the research, this paper combines with thecurrent status of school-university·s cooperation in our country and puts forward to the influenceof PDS in America to school-university·s cooperation in our country and provides reference tothe partnership between school-university.
