Nowadays, the government pays more attention to the effect of personnel training in Universities. How to develop a person to be with solid foundations of knowledge, skeptical and enterprising is the problem the educators focus on. For the physical course, teachers should improve students’ innovative and practical ability, also can not ignore Physical concept teaching. The physical concept is the basic composition unit of physical knowledges, only the students master the physical concept to learn physics knowledge. Physical educators need pay more attention to the situations of physics concept learning in the process of physics teaching, and design strategies to help students master the physical concepts.Taking electromagnetism course as an example, this paper used investigating the test paper, interviewing students and the teacher to understand the condition of the student grasping physical concepts of electromagnetism before the curriculum. Through the investigation into the past students’electromagnetism final text papers and the analysis of the students scores of the key concepts of electromagnetism, I understood the difficulties of the electromagnetism concept from the angle of the students; through the study of interviews, I understood the students’ habits and methods of physics learning; through the teacher interviews, I learned to the current situation of university students’ physical concepts from the teachers. Through a series of investigation we found that:1.The concepts of electromagnetism is high quantity and abstracted, so they are hard for the students, and students didn’t master all the concepts after a semester.2. students have been aware of the importance of physical concept, but they pay more attention to problem solving skills than learning and understanding of the concept, and they learn the concepts only by classroom lectures, after-school learning time is limited.3. students learn physics concepts by passive way, they do not have the habits of preview and review.According to the survey results, combining with the characteristics of electromagnetism course, We credited electromagnetic for three teaching plates including electrostatic field, magnetostatic field, time-varying field, and divided these three into 14 special subjects in teaching. I designed corresponding strategies respectively before,in and after class, in order to help students learning and mastering the electromagnetism concepts better. Then I implemented these strategies in the electromagnetism course in the class of 2013 grade physical science and physical education for a semester. During the practice, I took the stage testings for students and the real-time evaluation about the effect of implementation strategy. After the practice, I analysed and compared with the time-lapse effectiveness about the strategies, through the mechanics and electromagnetism delay test. Arranging and analysing the datum of the progress tests and the delay tests by S-P evaluation method, finally we found that:1. In the process of practice, the final exam scoring rate of the whole class about physical concepts is higher than the mid-term exam, and the situation of students’ learning concepts has improved after the students talking with teacher and been warned; 2. After 4 months of forgetting, the retention degree of overall class for the vast majority of electromagnetism concepts is better; 3. Comparing the mechanics and electromagnetism delay test results, I found that using the strategies to teach is helpful for students to understand the master important concepts.In a word, in this paper I mainly surveyed on the students of general physics concepts learning situations, and designed the corresponding teaching strategies. Then I implemented these strategies in electromagnetism course hoped to help students master the concepts of electromagnetism, and checked the validity of the strategies by a series of tests and evaluations. Finally I found that strategies I designed are helpful for students getting the concepts of electromagnetism well. |
