Germany is famous for its vocational education in the world, which is considered as the secret weapons of its economic development. In this thesis, I employ several approaches such as historical study, document study, comparative study, case study and element study in order to probe into the development of the higher vocational education in Germany and study on its characteristic of profession arrangement and curriculum arrangement, so as to use for reference to develop and reform the profession arrangement and curriculum arrangement of the higher vocational education in China.This thesis consists of five parts.Preface: This part is mainly about the meaning of selecting the topic, the present condition and the methodology of this study, and the definition of higher vocational education, profession arrangement and curriculum arrangement.Part I: The development of the higher vocational education in Germany. This section makes a brief introduction about the development of the higher vocational education in Germany, which is divided into three stages. Every stage analyzes the factors that caused its growth, particularly points out the changes of the profession arrangement and curriculum arrangement.Part II: The profession arrangement of the higher vocational education in Germany. This section discusses its main characteristic separately through four aspects: type, change, characteristic and the measurements of adjusting .Part III: The curriculum arrangement of the higher vocational education in Germany. This section discusses its main characteristics separately through three aspects: type, change and the characteristic.Part IV: Some enlightenment to the profession arrangement and curriculum arrangement reform of the higher vocational education in Germany.
