Following the swift and violent development of global econom y, environmentalpollution and ecological destruction begin to threat en the human existence andfurther development of the society seriously, faking the road to sustainabledevelopment has already become task of top priority. It is the effective means to solvethis predicament to educate sustir able development. History should give play to theunique advantage in this course as a comprehensive discipline. Sustainabledevelopment educates the important content that is the quality-oriented education hasreflected the essential characteristic of quality-oriented education, has reflected theartificial value orientation of the present historical course reform too. At the sametime history of the middle school educates making unique contribution to sustainabledevelopment with its abundant content of courses. In the course of implementation educated in sustainable development, We wantthe depth to excavate the teaching material metamessage and incorporate the idea ofsustainable development in historical teaching; The design of course wants theinformation transmission based on sustainable idea of development. Though there are obstruction and course offered and educator's one's ownlimitation from traditional historical teaching in the Sustainable developmenteducates the implementation in the historical teaching of the middle school, but it is theinevitable choice of historical teaching of the middle school.
