| School-based research is basically an educational research activity, which is based in the school where the practical problems during teaching take place. As a result, those practical problems become the research targets. The main body of the research is both of the school and the teacher and its research purpose is to find the link between the co-development of the teacher and the student in school. It aims for the characteristic instruction of the teacher. The ideal situation is to actively promote the teacher to do educational research, which will result in the development of their own subject. However, at the moment, a number of problems that many teachers confront in their work can not be solved immediately and effectively as restrictions of time, content and leadership are prevalent. The arrival of the information age has made the Internet more and more important in the school-based education research, with many types of educational websites playing a significant role in the development of the teacher as they provide an abundant resource and offer teachers an opportunity to communicate freely and instantly. The Internet has opened a door for the teachers, leading to their educational research development. The Internet environment in a school-based research activity gives teachers the equal space to display their own talents. It encourages personalized study and research style and it aids in creating an equal, democratic and harmonious atmosphere. It also encourages the proliferation of different thoughts, the formation of different teaching styles and the appearance of innovative courses. Also, teachers can speak freely and equally. At present, teachers have begun to explore the ways to improve their teaching level and personal qualities through the Internet. Therefore, more attention needs to be directed on how to utilize the Internet and how to promote the combination of the school-based research with the Internet.This study examined function, feature, communication way, form and discipline of the school-based research in an Internet environment in order to support the school-based research theoretically. It investigated such three examples as the school local website, the educational LAN website and the teacher website to study the operational mode of the school-based research. It also tried to find the method to solve the problems that emerged during its operation. These methods include;building up an external supporting system, strengthening training to teachers, enhancing the teacher's consciousness to utilize the Internet, improving the administration level of educational websites and creating anatmosphere for the school-based research in the school. Thus an effective educational mode was provided;a route to the professional development of teachers was supplied and the school-based research theory was highly developed. |
