| The folk fine arts occupy an important place in the time -honored national culture of our country. The culture of a nation is the root to maintain its people's national attachment and its folk fine arts function as the carriers of cultural traditions of different ethnic groups. Education, as the bridge for transmission, plays an important role in passing on the cultural relics and the youth are the very agents for this transmission. Therefore primary education becomes the key point of cultural transmission. In the past decades, the education of fine arts in China neglected to draw nutrition from the profound culture of the folk fine arts and it failed to bring the national spirit and aesthetic traditions from the national culture into the cultivation of children. The teaching of the folk fine arts in primary and middle schools can deliver the elements of national culture into the minds of the children and cultivate their sense of national identification and their affection towards the traditional culture. In this way, the specific characteristics of the Chinese traditional culture can be saved. In the broad range of the folk fine arts, a certain part can be introduced for the fine arts teaching of primary and middle school students. It follows that the position of the folk fine arts education will be elevated and the children with such education will become capable enough to meet the multi-cultural society with the self-respect for their national culture.The thesis is divided into three parts and elaborates on two aspects: why should we promote the teaching of folk fine arts in the fine arts education of primary and middle school students; and how can we carry out the teaching.Chapter 1 is a brief summary on the author's understanding of the folk fine arts, the necessity to promote the teaching of the folk fine arts in primary and middle schools, as well as the significance and key points of such teaching.Chapter2 illustrates the way to select suitable teaching contents and teaching patterns from the folk fine arts for teaching.Chapter3 is concerned with the implementation of the folk fine arts teaching in primary and middle schools. And some explicit lessons are also provided as examples for illustration.The writing purpose of this thesis is to propose the author's understanding on the teaching of the folk fine arts in the primary education on the basis of an inexhaustive analysis of the present fine arts teaching situation. It is hoped that the paper can play a leading role for the practical teaching and provide certain teaching standard for the forefront teachers. |
