The career transition of the farmers who live in the west urban area of Beijing City in the process of urbanization is the most important issue of this paper. Firstly, I look up several books to know more about the career situation of farmers in the history of Beijing City, I describe how the farmers make a living and explain what influences these people during the process of seeking or changing a job from the view of sociology. Livelihood has been studied by a lot of people, it is the most important issue of human society. Though I have only studied this problem, I think it has the tough tie with urbanization of Beijing city. The sooner those people change their career, the earlier the urbanization of Beijing City will be realized. I hope that my paper will be a useful reference book when someone makes decisions.My paper includes five parts. In Part One, I will say something about the meaning and importance of this paper, and what subject I study on. Next I will show you many famous socialists? researches and theories and tell you which means I have used in my paper. This Part also includes five foreign countries? labor transition. In Part Two, I look back upon the history of urban area of Beijing City, especially the developing process of economics and urbanization. In Part Three, the farmers? laboring and living will be the main points. I will tell you why they choose that means to make a living and summary the principles of farmers? career transition. In Part Four, I compare the career transition of urban farmers with pure farmers and workers, tell youwhy they fell dissatisfied. Part Five is the last part, I think more about the career transition of farmers and summarize the whole paper. I consider that urbanization is transferred from the old to the young, it will not be settled in several years.
