Pan-Guangdan, a famous eugenicist, sociologist and educationalist of China, who gained thorough understanding at home and abroad from ancient times to the present age and had much talent and learning in both scientific and liberal arts, left behind plenty of academic works and ideology treasure. As a scholar who was engaged in teaching and researching all his life, he also left behind precious educational thoughts for us. His educational ideology was extensive, inherited intellectual and original, in which"the adjustment education"was the special feature and pioneering work. And"the adjustment education morality"was the leading clue of his educational thoughts.Beginning with"the explanation of adjustment education and centering on the main clue, the writer expounded Pan Guangdan's educational view on the basis of clear explanation for adjustment education from two big aspects. From the organism condition that adjustment education based on, one aspect emphatically elaborated person's education problem, also namely how to teach people to behave tactfully in society by educating them. Pan Guangdan, a humanist, thought human decided the symptom of all the problems. Human control was the starting point of all, the precondition of all control. How to teach people to behave tactfully in society by educating them was the starting point and the home to return to. But the person's education core was personality fostering. Pan Guangdan believed that only the education of moulding a person's character, which was comprehensively expounded in this part of the issue, was the truly complete education. The contents of this part mainly included four aspects, that was: the implication of human character, the necessity of personality education, the implementation way of personality education as well as the personality education. And this part emphatically elaborated the Pan Guangdan's general education thought, which was also the important constitution of his education thought. The other aspect elaborated how to adjust person and the environment relation from the environmental condition that adjustment education must rely on. Human was fundamental and environment was incidental, while the environment was the indispensable condition of carrying out adjustment education. The organism, particularly the Chinese nation, who want to result in the institute of adjustment education, must draw support from education to adjust relations between person and the environment, achieving complement each other instead of harm. Mainly from relations between the person and the cultural environment, the person and the material environment, this article analyzed how PanGuangdan remarked the adjustment education function, which was the essential condition of adjustment education that Pan Guangdan emphasized.On the basis of analysizinging and summarizing to Pan-guangdan's educational thought. the last, exhibiting Pan-guangdan's educational thought's enlightenment to contemporary education. Comparing his educational thought, reconsidering contemporary education, from which we can gain some enlightenment. For example: education should strengthen the humanities spirit construction,the university should strengthen the general education, how does the rural education serve for the new rural reconstruction etc.
