It's almost hundred years since comprehensive social studies of Elementary School in America established. It's purpose, form, content and methods are constantly changing and innovating along with many times educational reform in America. There was a very important and special period-1960', which in complex situation of cold war and civil right movement .There is saying goes"Time makes hero", people put great expectation on education so that lead to unprecedented public enthusiasm for education reform that includes "new social studies movement" which based on develop new curriculum and textbook..Actually, social studies of Elementary School also actively seek to develop their own appropriate social studies curriculum reform that fit to elementary students'maturity level and psychological characteristics .This article focus on "New Social Studies Movement" in Elementary school. At first, it presents Elementary school Social Studies curriculum constructive process .Next it refer to the details of Elementary school "New Social Studies Movement", includes re-examine principle of curriculum standards establishment and the some changes of orientation of curriculum objectives, selection of curriculum content, development of course structure as well as emphasis preference of curriculum evaluation. Last but not least, it analyses and concludes the follow-up impact of "New Social Studies Movement" of Elementary school in America.
