In history, Mulam people had close contact with Han nationality and other national minorities in China. Mulam people inlayed its culture with the silver and gold of other nationalities, which formed Mulam's specific culture. However, along with the rapidly economical development and the expanding communication between nationalities, the whole range of Mulam's sinicizing phenomenon becomes more and more remarkable. Most cultural elements of the nationality on its own are desalinating gradually and even to disappear. Thus, the author, as a member of Mulam, has sorted out Mulam's original senses of esthetics and artistic creations and made a systematically primary research on it. This work is in order to show the wisdom and feeling of Mulam People who lives in the mountainous area in south of China, and also hope that there will be more people paying attention to this bravely, wisdom and industrious national minority. The thesis consists of an introduction and three chapters. The introduction summarized and introduced the national source and cultural tradition for readers' preliminary understanding of Mulam. The first chapter systematically researched on Mulam's culture at four aspects——the natural environment, social environment, religious belief and holiday's celebrations, presenting its life style and related customs. The second chapter discussed the original esthetic senses of Mulam people, such as its life ideas, harmonious feelings with nature and inquiries to the unknown world, which interpreted Mulam people's inner spiritual world, further explored its esthetic senses and preliminarily esthetic consciousness initiated by these intrinsic spirits.
