University Library Intelligent Access Control System Design And Realization

The main research concept of the thesis is how to utilize the network information technology constructing a set of service and management based on an intelligent access system. The system will provide technical guarantee of knowledge service, information service and management services for universities libraries. The universities libraries as an important service places help students and teachers to get knowledge information. We cannot let the traditional access control system become to a communication gap between librarians and users who are the teachers and students. The intelligent entrance guard system not only eliminates the drawbacks of the gap, but also apply to create more and better personal services and become a communication bridge between library and the users.At the beginning, the thesis expounds current the universities libraries which construction quickly and also generate a lot of problems such as service and management facilities form unreasonable, information service capacity lags caused inefficient service, extensive management , and etc. Based on those problems and my own experience, I put forward the concept of a service and management for the integration of intelligent entrance guard system from the entrance facilities of libraries for the teachers and students to enter. The main modules include the traditional access control,Channel gate,Electronic touch screen,SMS platform,Bluetooth,WEB Reservation,Lighting, and Fire fighting facilities. Traditional entrance just relied on gate control and management of the users,but new generation of access control system not only integrated more advanced management and regard to the application of personal services of readers. The new system will thoroughly change the existing facilities of low efficiency and extensive management methods, and the barriers between the users and the library. First, when the students and teachers through the libraries' gates into the libraries, electronic touch screens and an information release system can let them get all kinds of personalized service such as the information provided by the library and check you're borrowing. Then, the users can also use cell phones,Bluetooth and other mobile devices to interact with the library information, query and customize various at any time and place. In addition, the WEB Reservation function not only provides books, seminar rooms and other inquiries, but also uses the network information technology to makes the readers completely understand the libraries' information of dynamic service. On the other hand, the WEB Reservation fundamentally solve the problem of the library meeting room and reading room unable open 24 hours, and achieve a function of unmanned and self-management. At the end, when the intelligent entrance guard system work with a lighting system together, it not only continue a concept of green and low carbon library, but also is a practical application of higher energy saving initiatives; when the intelligent entrance guard system work with a fire system together, it will help the libraries which are crowded places to handle different types of emergencies, and make sure the safety of users.
