This thesis brings forward to a resolution of embedded remote surveillance based on the intelligent community. The system is centering on the embedded Linux and S3C2410,and basing on the Wi-Fi network to build the embedded remote surveillance, which can capture video signal from USB digital camera and transport the signal to client through Wi-Fi network.The way of remote surveillance based on Wi-Fi network makes the traditional way trend toward digitalization, networking and intelligence.Firstly, the thesis introduced the construction and development of the embedded remote control system. Secondly, some situations of ARM processor and embedded operating system, such as Linux, are introduced. This system is designed and realized the remote surveillance based on the processor of S3C2410 and embedded operating system,including the design of the main hardware circuit, the transplantation of embedded Linux's kernel, the theory of Bootloader. And the driver of USB device, camera and Wi-Fi are researched.Further this thesis focused on discussing how to design image collecting and network communication program.Finally,the system is tested and the plan of further development is proposed.This system can satisfy the users'need to remote devices'control. Result of this research was provided with great signality of practical engineering and a valuable reference for application of video communicator base on Wi-Fi technology.
