Design And Implementation Of Web Services-based E-commerce Online Ordering System

Along with social progress and the rapid development of information technology, Web services technology has been accepted by the majority of e-commerce businesses. However, the company having their own business systems, no longer meets the business needs and rapid changes in information, brought by the mergers and the fierce market competition. For instance, a vast majority of materials needed is obtained through procurement, which is the starting point for enterprise logistics management. Nevertheless, the task of procurement is often large and dispersed; the procurement of project and the approval procedure is time-consuming. How to effectively solve the tedious work of traditional procurement process? How to ensure the efficiency of project implementation, instead of lagging behind the transmission of information? Those are the research projects placed in front of all the companies. On-line procurement system design and implementation has become a very scarce resource nowadays. To find better ways to integrate information systems, and to help the suppliers and their partners collaborate more effectively through the network, the system came into being.From a service-oriented perspective, this thesis systematically discusses the design and implementation process of the online e-commerce procurement system, based on the Web services. On the basis of the existing e-business models and technologies, we take fully use of the new web service technology to do a research on the online e-commerce procurement system. Beside, taking into account the hardware resources and the environment condition, we present a Web-based e-commerce framework and design a web-based e-business online procurement system, from the server side and client-side technology point of view. This thesis explores the Web services technology in e-commerce applications with practical examples, to illustrate the developing process of the web-based e-business. Finally, the thesis summarizes the research achievements and gives suggestions for the future research. Our practice has proved that the web-based online procurement system is feasible, which will have a profound impact on the development of e-commerce.
