Counselor Management Evaluation System Analysis And Design

The counselors in university is an important team for moral education as well as an mainstay force for ideological education for the students. Nowadays, we are encountering a novel problem of how to build up an efficient information system to reinforce administration of the counselors. As an office with a major specialty in the counselors'team administration and student moral education, it is of great importance to analyze and then improve the operation of the counselors administration and assessment information system.While the university authority is exploring and developing its regulations on counselors' administration, the current assessment system appears to be insufficient in many ways, especially the lack of professional software. It has hindered the works in many aspects, such as assessment, statistical data collection, the counselors'work recognition and archiving, which, as a result, affected our informatization process.This essay focuses on analysis and design of the counselors' administration and assessment information system of Yunnan University. It introduces definitions related to the counselors'administration and assessment at first. Then it narrates in detail the demands for the system and set up 5 modules in the system following the actual counselor assessment procedure, they are counselor administration, assessment standards, assessment, information inquiry and system set up. The system is designed for 4 kinds of users:students, administers at college level, counselors themselves and related offices. The author decomposes the use case into activity sequence and then analyzes and designs the database. Finally, the author demonstrates application of the system with one example. This system adopts a mixed architecture of C/S and B/S, and is based on ASP.NET in the B/S part so that every user could visit the system with the browser at any places that has internet access. In the C/S part, the system is based on NETCASE developed by the Research Institute of Information Technology of Yunnan University so that the system is able to be integrated seamlessly with the URP system of the university's online office system. System analysis and design is the key chapter of the essay.Compared with the traditional way of counselor assessment, this system introduces a diversified assessment subjects. It transforms the traditional way of leadership assessment into a comprehensive way of assessment by the students, the counselors themselves, administrators at college level and related administrative offices. The system is simple but efficient to use in actual work since it supports accurate input of large amount of assessment data, rapid data retrieval and process.
