Mobility management is technology used to support equipment to keep continuous communication when moved in different networks.As an important constituent of mobility management, switching algorithm also is the key part of this paper. This topic will assess the performance of switching algorithm by testing the handover delay.Mobility management plays different roles in different types of network.The switching algorithm to the existing single-hop network with AP has become mature.But this paper is for the research on mobile IPv6 based on the Adhoc network. It has many obvious advantages by combining mobilie IPv6 technology and Adhoc network.This method not only can make use of flexible structure and facilitate expansion characteristics of Adhoc network to realize all IP network, but also can use switching function provided by mobile IPv6 to achieve communication seamless roaming.This paper firstly analyzes the excessive handover delay mainly caused by movement detection and reverse routing found by comparing common IPv6 switching algorithm performance. Dual-network cards mechanism and reverse temporary routing mechanism are proposed to improve performance and detailed analysis and optimization scheme are designed also. Dual-network cards balanced the communication of wireless card auto scan and switching delay.It can reduce the link layer switching delay and packet loss rate effectively.Temporary reverse routing mechanism is designed for node after switching.For subnet can't establish reverse routing optimization when routing convergence not complished, when node occurs switching node can establish routing to gateway by sending multicast packet contained routing information.This method can reduce the delay caused by routing not convergence.Finally switching algorithm will be implemented in Linux.By comleting the detailed design of experimental frame and optimization scheme algorithm process, network platform is built to test the performance of optimization to verified optimization algorithm is feasible and efficient.
