Digital Classroom Management

With the development of computer and network technology, the function of campus network continues to be improved. In order to provide better services to the university management staff, teachers and students, there have been many functional systems added to the campus network, which is not only to satisfy the requirement of the campus network users, but also a step to achieve educational informationization.With the sustainable growth of enrollment in most colleges and universities, many of them have established one or several new campuses to accommodate this development, but it makes the old and new campus separated geographically. This is a problem of the school management, and it also brings a higher demand on the campus network. Most existed management information systems are dispersed, which can only complete their own operations and can hardly share their resources. Many management systems could only work for management staff, but they cannot serve teachers and students, which results in the lower utilization of resources.Educational administration is the core of administrations in universities, which plays an important role in communication between internal and external. The education administration staff have to plan, organize, supervise, guide and provide services to setup stable teaching order and good teaching mechanism. The educational administration is important to the teaching. The project focused on educational administration system and extended the traditional educational function of the system, aimed that teachers and students could use the system. This system achieves the following functions:1. Through this system, registered teachers and students could get course information alerts' through e-mail, short massage or other chat tool. The reminding information could be teachers and students'own courses, or the courses they are interested in;2. This system provides students with graphical classroom information which are empty in students' leisure time which help to arrange their study time and help education management staff adjust courses; 3. This system could provide information data mining based on curriculums and the statistical information of classroom use factor.This system studied the classroom which is an important component in teaching and implemented digital management of classroom. It works as the aid of traditional educational administration management system, which brings convenience for educational administrators and makes teachers and students use it. It will improve the data usage of educational administration system and provide convenience for teachers' work and students' study.The server-side of the system was developed using Microsoft ASP.NET Web Form that is good at implementing many kinds of web logic, so it is good for the system development. The database we chose is Microsoft SQL Server 2008 that unifies mutually with the Microsoft.NET platform, which can provide good data accessing optimization. This system took use of the Visual the Studio 2010 integrated development environment (IDE). Several kinds of open source projects has been examined during the development of this system such as The Beer House, Pet Shop. And we hope that this project could improve in the future. If it could have good influence after its deployment and actual use, we hope this system can also make the contribution to the open source project of.NET someday.
