Regional urban daily competition is an important part of printed media development. As regional urban daily is relatively high market-oriented, after experiencing years of market immersion, having been preliminarily formed the market environment and development pattern with bright characteristics. With respect to party newspapers and journals, regional urban daily has short history, and different regional urban daily has also different level of development, what's more important, different positioning regional urban daily in the same district has also different levels in development. The paper is on the study of press market in Chengdu, combining into the latest factuality of three representative urban daily with Chengdu Business Daily , Huaxi City Daily and Chengdu Evening News, through the deep analysis of their development environment and status quo, revealing the competitive stance among urban daily in Chengdu and between urban daily and other media, coming up with the strategic choice of Chengdu urban daily competition on this basis, that is, in the support of human resources and capital resources, vigorously promoting innovation in the matters of talent management system, financing channels, section content and operating model.Currently, regional urban daily is in the term of rapid development, meeting the challenge of Change in the matters of industry environment, operating model, section content and administration team. The study of the paper is possessed of comparative strong practical significance, the research method and collusion can be applied to the development practice of other regional urban daily in the domestic area, at the same time, has also positive reference to the new business construction of other printed media in the environment of cultural industry adjustment.
