Warehouse management is necessary in production management of a company. Although the age of information technology have been coming, warehouse management is still handled by labor in most companies,by which huge human resources are required for filling various bills, forms, certificates, books and documents.As time goes on, information changes,thus warehouse management data needs to be collected and classified in category, which brought repeated registration and transcription as well. Therefore, the way of manual management is not only a waste of human resources, but also a way of many weaknesses, such as,low efficiency,frequent errors, complicated implementation, and short in comprehensiveness. Consequently,the production efficiency and information value of the whole company are pulled down.To be concluded,this mode of management is out of requirement of the modern warehouse management,and also gives more importance to warehouse management based on computer technology.For these,we made abundant technical data collection and practical research. With the comprehensively research of each process in present warehouse management system (WMS), the author made a summary on problems in this system.And after scientific analysis on technical tools, We decided to develope a WMS in B/S structure,JSP technical system and ORACLE database in order to fully satisfy the requirements of the warehouse management. In addition to that, ORACLE is advanced in processing, security and restoration. For instance, it can recover as errors happened before,even if the hardware worked out. Besides, with the lowest accident rate,the MD5encryption technology adopted in this WMS largely enhanced the security of the system.This paper made a statement on the analysis of WMS requirements in detail, mainly including business analysis and function requirement of entering warehouse management, out-of-warehouse management, goods management and goods-return management. It provides a data model of the system. On the basis of requirement analysis, this paper provides an integral structure design, module division and module design of entering warehouse management, out-of-warehouse management, goods management and goods-return management. In this paper, the system fulfilled the modernization of warehouse management with good management on the main businesses of warehouse management and high efficiency for full optimization of present working process.
