With the development of computer technology, network technology and communication technology, industrial controller shows a trend of miniaturization and integration function change. For those industry objects which don’t need to adopt DCS and field bus control system, it’s a common application to adopt the corresponding industrial controller installed directly in the industrial field to complete control requirements at present. So the study of AVR series single-chip microcomputer to design industrial controller, and realize its basic control function has certain research significance.The main work of this paper is to complete industrial controller hardware, software design and production with AVR MCU, based on the current application characteristics of industrial controller. This thesis mainly realizes the design of the main control circuit of the industrial controller, as well as the design of hardware, production, and test of RS-485communication module, power supply module, and A/D, D/A, DI/DO module. Meanwhile, in the aspect of software, the display circuit, software module, sampling circuit, software module, PID control algorithm module, etc. has been designed to make the industrial controller have the performance characteristics of low power consumption and anti-interference.Altium Designer10drawing software is adopted in the hardware design of industrial controller, completing each module hardware circuit principle diagram and PCB diagram design. The software module design of controller adopts the ICCAVR software to complete the procedure compilation and debugging, producing downloadable HEX object files, and completes the program download through ISP interface. Finally, the controller hardware and software are debugged overall, and the debugging results meet the design requirements.
