| Telecom service providers have to rapidly push value-added IP services before proprietary solutions become largely adopted. For value-added IP services, IMS (The IP Multimedia Subsystem) is the only standardized solution in the telecommunications world, and IMS is one of the most promising revenue-generating opportunities for telecom operators. IMS enables a whole new set of multimedia, multi-party instant communication services that triggers an evolution of the network towards a more IT centric architecture. MSCML-enabled MSCML (Media Server Control Markup Language) multiple-media system is an attempt to bring new ways for the mobile and broadband subscribers to interact with audio/video conference. However, below three issues limited the usage of MSCML based application in Telecom domain, therefore, the investigation works on these issue provide the theoretical interest and also of great relevance.1. Many individual MSCML-enabled application servers deliver the conference function made by competitors. Most of those solutions are designed for small-scale systems and are IP-based solutions or fixed-users-based solution independently. They cannot support multiple accesses. And these system cannot provide abundant features, the Telecom need a system with multiple types’clients support and a system with abundant features.2. The telecom operators need a stable, scalable, convergent, and telecom level platform that can support multiple services. Small scale and low capability system cannot meet these requirements; it cannot be wildly used in the network.This article focuses on above two issues for the investigation works。 Major works are summarized as below:1. Designed multiple modules for multiple protocol based accessing use protocol convert and compatible solution to supports IP and non-IP based subscribers: Be compatible with IP protocol, ISDN/ISUP (Integrated Services Digital Network/ISDN User Part) and3G/4G user’s accessing, this solution enable multiple-protocols based participant.2. Provides multiple and end-customer interested facilities to delivery new revenue-generating opportunities:Our system provides multiple facilities for multiple media application, such as, this application provide creating video conference, education, conference recording, video blog, and video on demand.3. Optimize the architecture and design to provide stable, flexible, scalable and high performance based system:This architecture support all the application servers use shared media resource. This is recommended to maximize the reuse of media resource functions, On the other hand, we separate different modules, they all could share and control the conference together, it provides a standards based, flexible, and scalable implementation enabling the operator to optimally deploy, extend in the network and fit the different requirements from different customers.These works and approach proved its reliability and functionality in real environment’s usage, and it is running on Telecom’s under constructed network.In the last part, this paper also presents approach and its technical strengths of an end-to-end IMS solution; it will play a positive and functional role to the telecom operators. |
