| With the science and technology advancing, People’s lives are being greatly affected. Array signal processing, a very important cutting-edge technology, plays an important role in both military and civilian areas. DOA estimation is the key technology in the field of Array signal processing. In recent years, with the development of information science, many DOA estimation algorithms are constantly being proposed, Among them, the more famous algorithms are high resolution spatial spectrum of classic algorithms, such as MUSIC algorithm and ESPRIT algorithm have always played a very important role in DOA estimation. Based on these two classical algorithms, researchers have proposed a number of their new algorithms. But combined with the military field and engineering applications, the system comprehensive performance is the key factor. A technology of Virtual array transformation is proposed in order to extend the array and improve the utilization of the array element, with its distinct advantages, Virtual Array technology has been developing rapidly and has become a research hotspot.Firstly, the paper introduced the spatial spectrum estimation and the various far-field narrowband array signal model, these are the basics of DOA Estimation. And then discussed and analyzed the famous algorithms that are available by the computer simulation, thus raised expansion of the virtual array technology.Secondly, the paper proposed a new 2D-DOA Estimation Rotation Algorithm Based on Multidirectional virtual transformation from analyzing the angle of how to improve array elements utilization and reduce the computational complexity at the same time. We can construct a special rotation invariant factor by using this algorithm, and estimates the azimuth and pitch angle. This new algorithm does not require spectral peak searching, the azimuth and pitch angle are paired automatically, and reduced the computational complexity, but improved the estimation accuracy at the same time, thereby greatly improved the overall performance of the system.Finally, To further validate the performance of the algorithm proposed, this paper tests the Direction finding experiment and RMSE experiment, Simulation experiments show that the proposed method in the case of changes the signal to noise ratio and the number of snapshots, root mean square error of all the performance are all better than other similar algorithms. So both the theoretical analysis and simulation results proved the efficient performance of the new algorithm, the algorithm of 2D-DOA estimation becomes more abundant. |
