Trellis Coded Modulation (tcm) And Its Technology Research

As the information society's developing, people's communication mode has become more and more multipolarized. As a result,generate some of requires as videotex, fax, video phone etc. It is the focus that how to make use of the resources in order to communicate effectively. The researching of this paper is modulation and demodulation which based on PSTN. It involves TCM, precoding, shell shapping etc. The data transmission rate is 28800 bits per second (bps). According to V.34 recommendation, we can unite the multimedia information and communication perfectly. This paper introduce the voice_band modem's developing and some of interrelated technique at first. Then, the paper recommends two main modulation technique of the project: QAM and TCM. It discusses high speed transmission rate modem protocol: ITU-T V.34 recommendation and analyse the detail technique of it. At last, this paper presents the implementation manner of encoding & decoding algorithm of the modulation techniques used by the project with a software.
