Presently it has become one of the signs in enterprise production automatization and management informalization. In the dissertation we expatiate on some basic principles of ASRS overall layout design and produce a new set of space-based layout algorithms after summarizing the normal layout models in domestic and overseas production systems. These algorithms can reach preferably high precision requirement through experiments. Also we discuss the computer-aided overall layout designing methods in material handling system. After properly analyzing the flux, ability and flow of the material handling system utilizing the parametric idea, we realize the layout plane arrangement of the storage system, transportation system, conveying system and buffer storage system. Then integrating the developed material handling overall layout designing software, we demonstrate the thought-way, structure and function of the three constituent modules of the software.
