This paper discusses how to describe the helicopter's dynamics model in flight envelope. Structured singular value( ii) theory is studied and used to develop the longitudinal control laws. On the base of it, a helicopter automatic transition control system is designed. Additionally, the visible simulation technology is also studied in this paper.This paper brings forward a method to describe the helicopter's dynamics model in it's flight envelope, which use curves to fit the coefficient of every little perturbance equations and use multiplicative uncertainty to describe the unmodel dynamic. This method is especially useful when designing a flight control system.Many control problems can be formulated in a linear fractional transformation (LFT) framework. This paper studies how to make use of LFT to formulate control systems (including structure uncertain). This paper also discusses the ii theory, and demonstrates how to use the i?-analysis to analyze system robust stability and performance, and how to use the ~u -synthesis to develop control laws.Basing on the characteristic of the helicopter's automatic transition process, appropriate design points are selected, and the feedback structure is built, the appropriate weighted matrix is selected. Then the ii -synthesis theory is used to develop the controller. After model reduction of the controller, the structured singular value is used to analyze the robust stability and performance of the closeloop system which includes the controller we designed. The results of time-domain simulations are satisfactory.From the respect of the characteristic of the design requirement, we designed an ideal curve for the helicopter's automatic transition process. Combined with the control system designed before, a helicopter's automatic transition control system is concluded. The result of time-domain simulation of the whole fling process is satisfactory.Moreover, the visible simulation technology is also discussed and a simple visible simulation system of the flight control system is designed.
