Abstract/Summary:
The most significant feature of E-Tag system is the adopting of REID technology. The communication of the E-Tag system is wireless, so that it is contact-less. Because of this reason, it can identify several E-Tags at the same time, even if they are moving at a high speed. Due to these excellences, E-Tag system has already been widely used abroad. And it may also be widely used in China. So, to study, design, and apply the E-Tag system has great practical value. The main contents of this thesis are as follows: Firstly, an introduction to the system principle, system architecture, and main technology parameters of the E-Tag system. Secondly, the design of the antenna of the E-Tag. The works including a deep study of the IC chip structure, the operation instructions ,the memory configuration and the coupling principle of the antenna, and then the design, fabrication, testing and optimization of the antenna. Thirdly, the design of the E-Tag reader. Using the available ICs such as MCU, the RE module, voltage supply circuitry, EEPROM, timing circuitry, LCD display circuitry, RS232 interface and a SAM card interface. Till now the prototype of E-Tag and E-Tag reader are worked out and tested. And the system works as designed.
