This paper introduces the development of a new type calculator. Abacus calculates addition and subtract faster than electronic calculator,but low efficiency and high error rate in multiplication ,division calculation.Electronic calculator calculates multiplication ,division faster than abacus but slow in addition and subtract calculation.In view of the extremely apparent advantage and disadvantage,the paper gives a new concept named abacus electronic calculator.The new calculator can raise finance personnelsorking efficiency. A model of machine which contains MCS(AT89C51) was made to realize the idea.The paper makes a detailed analysis of the ASIC.The design flow and method was introduced in the paper.The chip is a digit and analog mixed circuit system. The digital segment is coded using the Verilog HDL.The data is entered through a keyboard .The result of calculation is showed throuth LCD. Arithmetic algorithm is fixed point calculation.32 instructions was defined.A program which was comprised by the instructions was fixed in ROM as the circuit system controller.The RTL level HDL was synthesized by Synopsys'sDesign Compiler. The analog segment was achieved by manually drawing schematics.The circuit includes RC oscillator,initial signal generation,LCD row signal generation,ROM generation .The Layout was customized by manual.Edit the DRC LVS files to verify the layout. Every module was created an abstract from a layout view. After integration of digital segment and analog segment,the Layout was generated by the Silicon Ensemble place and route system. The chip is on a 2768.4~im X 2768.4 die in a 0.6 tim CMOS technology (double well, double poly, double metal).The chip contains 72 pads.
